Western Digital is offering their WD BLACK SN7100 2TB NVMe solid state drive for $242.96 on Amazon, which is tied to a 90 day low price and a $57 savings of the retailer’s regular price of $299.99. The drive has 4.8 out of 5 stars from 5,874 ratings on the site, with over 5,000 bought in the past month.
The drive features a PCIe Gen4 NVMe connection that, according to WD, results in speeds of up to 7,250MB s read and up to 6,900MB s write in their 2TB model, which would make them around 35 percent faster than the previous generation drives.
SanDisk Technologies used in next generation TLC 3D NAND for consistent durability during intensive processing demands and also maintained a steady output during heavy data loads.
