Unlike a traditional portable music player, the DT11 does not decode or amplify audio on its own. Its sole purpose is to serve as a pure digital transport that routes undisturbed audio data to an external DAC or amplifier combo. FiiO is positioning the unit as a dedicated front end companion for high fidelity mobile rigs.
Under the hood, the transport runs Android 13 on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The 4.7 inch screen keeps the overall footprint compact, making the device easy to handle when bundled with another device.
