A new flagship processor has set a benchmark record before its official release. Spotted in a popular testing platform, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro reached an unprecedented score of over 4,800,000 points. However, consumers will have to wait until next month to see the silicon in commercial devices.
According to details shared by industry insider Digital Chat Station on social media, the unreleased chip carries the model number SM8975. During a test run in AnTuTu version 11.1.4, the platform recorded a final score of 4,835,412 points. The central processing unit accounted for 1,368,930 of those points, while the newly designed Adreno 850 graphics processor scored 1,854,826 points.
This result represents a massive jump over current hardware performance. Most premium devices running the current Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 struggle to pass the 4,500,000 mark on the same test. The new architecture appears to offer a substantial leap in both computational speed and graphic rendering efficiency.
The hardware is expected to power the next wave of flagship phones launching late next month and early October. Major brands like Honor Magic 9, Xiaomi 18, iQOO 16, and OnePlus 16 have already slotted the new processors into their upcoming premium lineups. The earliest commercial appearances will likely occur in China before expanding to global markets.
