Bigme has launched the Hibreak Dual 3, introducing what it claims is the first 85FPS magnetic dual screen E ink phone. The device combines a reading focused E ink main panel with an attachable 5 inch LCD secondary display for standard apps and video. Pricing starts at $629 on the official Bigme store.
The hardware splits everyday mobile tasks between 2 completely different display technologies. Up front, the primary 6.13 inch screen comes in either color or monochrome E ink, pushing refresh speeds up to 85 frames per second for fluid document scrolling and stylus input. Snapping the magnetic 5 inch LCD onto the back gives users a standard glass screen for fast animations, video streaming, and social apps. This modular setup lets users switch between eye comfort and standard smartphone speed on a single handset.
Biometric security operates across both panels using dedicated sensor routes. Owners can assign separate fingerprints to unlock specific screens independently, keeping private reading separated from daily communication. The chassis also houses dual front and rear cameras that unlock the corresponding screen they face, while the magnetic LCD includes separate facial recognition sensors.
Internal processing relies on a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 octa core processor running an open Android 16 operating system. Bigme offers 2 memory tiers, starting with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, alongside an upgraded version carrying 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Users can expand capacity up to 2TB through a microSD card slot. Cellular connectivity includes full 5G support and dual SIM capabilities.
Battery capacity is rated at 4450mAh and supports 30W wired charging. For handwritten notes and sketching, the main E ink panel accepts a 4096 level pressure sensitive stylus. The hardware also carries NFC support for digital transit passes and wireless payments. Initial orders are open globally through official manufacturer channels.
