Gears of War E Day Goes Gold as The Coalition Shares PC System Requirements

The Coalition has finalized development on Gears of War E Day, confirming the upcoming prequel has officially gone gold. The studio shared the full PC system requirements, revealing accessible hardware targets for 60 frames per second gameplay across 1080p, 1440p, and 4K resolutions. The shooter remains on track to launch on PC and Xbox Series consoles early next month.

Reaching gold status means the master code is locked and physical discs are heading to manufacturing plants. There will be no launch delays. The story takes players back to the initial Emergence Day crisis, following younger versions of Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as they face the opening hours of the Locust invasion.

Running the game at 1080p and 60 fps on medium settings requires an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or an Intel Core i5 10400 or Core i7 6850K processor paired with 12GB of memory. Graphics demands are modest, asking for an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 or RTX 2060, or an AMD Radeon RX 9060 or RX 6600. Every performance tier requires 115GB of free space on a solid state drive.

Targeting 1440p at 60 fps on high presets calls for an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or an Intel Core i5 11600K CPU alongside 16GB of RAM. The graphics baseline moves up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 3060 Ti, or an AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT or RX 6700 XT.

For 4K gameplay at 60 fps on ultra presets, the game asks for an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D or an Intel Core i7 14700K processor. System memory remains at 16GB. Graphic processing demands for this tier require an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT, or an RX 6700 XT to handle maximum visual detail.
