Goodram has announced the RIVAL Charge DDR5 desktop memory series to expand its enthusiast hardware lineup. The memory modules deliver speeds up to 6800 MT/s with latencies as low as CL30 while maintaining a compact height of only 32.85 millimeters. Buyers can pick up single sticks or dual packs up to 32GB per module, though Goodram has not yet shared retail pricing.
The RIVAL Charge series covers a wide range of frequencies to suit different performance targets. Base options start at 5600 MT/s with timings rated for CL30 and CL36. Step up tiers run at 6000 MT/s with CL30 and CL36, 6400 MT/s with CL32, and a flagship tier running at 6800 MT/s with CL34 timings. Both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO overclocking profiles come preloaded on every stick. This allows PC builders to load rated speeds with 1 click in the motherboard BIOS regardless of their processor choice.
Memory capacities cater to standard builds as well as heavy gaming rigs. Goodram offers 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB single UDIMM sticks, along with 2 module kits that double the total capacity. A 2 stick kit with 32GB modules delivers 64GB of total system RAM, which gives high end desktop users plenty of room for heavy multitasking and workstation duties.
Clearance is a major selling point for this release. Large CPU air coolers often block standard memory slots, but the RIVAL Charge modules stand just 32.85 millimeters tall. That low profile design fits underneath bulky dual tower heatsinks without clearance headaches. The initial release uses a black circuit board wrapped in a black and red aluminum heat spreader, with more color options expected to arrive later.
