HKC has released a Glacier Blue edition of its Yinren L1 expandable mobile game controller. The direct plug controller features Hall effect joysticks, Xbox style vibration motors, a 1000Hz polling rate, and an adjustable USB C connection with charging pass through. It is currently available in China for 169 yuan, which converts to roughly 24 USD.
The Yinren L1 is built for mobile gaming setups and supports smartphones up to 214 millimeters in length. It weighs 230 grams and uses an ergonomic grip with laser textured anti slip patterns on the back for better handling during long sessions. HKC also includes detachable silicone pads to fit various phone thicknesses and camera bumps, while integrated RGB lighting accents the front controls.
Internal hardware focuses on durability and responsiveness. The thumbsticks use Hall effect magnetic sensors rated for 5,000,000 cycles, which protects against stick drift over time. A 1KHz polling rate ensures low input lag for fast paced competitive games, and internal vibration motors match the feel of standard console controllers.
The flexible USB C connector pivots slightly to prevent port damage when sliding a phone into place. It also supports charging pass through, allowing users to keep their phone charged during gameplay without dealing with connection drops. This makes the controller a practical choice for extended mobile gaming on a budget.
