Honor has launched a revised version of the MagicPad 4 in China with adjusted internal specifications. The new model swaps out the OLED panel of the global edition for a fast 165 Hz LCD screen and runs on a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. Prices for the tablet start at $491.
The front of the slate features a 12.1 inch LCD panel outputting a crisp 3000x1872 resolution. It supports dynamic refresh rates spanning 60, 90, 120, 144, and 165 Hz depending on the task on screen, with brightness topping out at 700 nits. The screen carries certifications for both IMAX Enhanced and HDR Vivid media playback. Sound output is handled by a 6 speaker array, accompanied by 3 microphones positioned for voice calls.
Internal hardware shifts to Qualcomm silicon for this release. Honor opted for the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, backed by an Adreno 825 graphics chip. Thermal management relies on a graphite heat dissipation layer measuring more than 37,000 square millimeters. Configuration choices include 8GB or 12GB of RAM, while internal storage is fixed at 256GB.
A massive 10,100 mAh battery provides runtime and charges through a 66W wired connection. Despite the battery size, the profile remains slim at 6.29 millimeters with a total carry weight of 537 grams. The tablet boots MagicOS 10 on top of Android 16 right out of the box. Honor also built in cross platform file sharing tools, allowing users to send photos, videos, and documents straight to Apple hardware.
The base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage carries a retail tag of 3,299 yuan, which converts to approximately $491. Buyers who need 12GB of RAM with the same 256GB storage capacity will pay 3,699 yuan, or roughly $551.
