Honor has unveiled the Magic9 Super Edition, a flagship handset sporting a massive 11000 mAh battery and an internal cooling fan. The smartphone also packs a 200 MP primary camera alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Pricing starts at roughly $670 in China.
The defining trait of this handset is its 11000 mAh power cell, which marks the highest capacity ever seen in the Magic lineup. Wired charging hits 80W, while wireless top ups reach 50W. It also supports rapid wired reverse charging so you can power up secondary gadgets on the go. To handle thermal output during heavy usage, Honor installed an active cooling fan alongside an internal vapor chamber.
On the front, users get a 6.81 inch flat OLED screen running at a resolution of 2788x1280 with refresh rates climbing to 120 Hz. Local brightness peaks at an astonishing 10000 nits, while full screen brightness reaches 2000 nits. High frequency PWM dimming operates at 3840 Hz to protect against eye strain. Inside, the device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, backed by LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 flash storage.
Imaging duties are led by a 200 MP Samsung S5KHP5 sensor measuring 1/1.55 inches with an f/1.9 aperture and optical image stabilization. A secondary 50 MP telephoto lens uses a Sony LYTIA 500 sensor with 3x optical zoom and optical stabilization. An ultrawide 12 MP camera handles wider angles and autofocus macros. Around the front, a 50 MP selfie camera provides a wide 90 degree field of view.
The phone runs MagicOS 11 on top of Android 17. In terms of connectivity, the chassis includes Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, an infrared sensor, and an in display optical fingerprint reader. Durability ratings are exceptionally high, with full water and dust resistance certified across IP68, IP69, and IP69K standards.
Base models with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage retail for 4499 yuan, or roughly $670. Bumping the storage to 512GB with 12GB of RAM pushes the price to 4999 yuan, which equals about $745. The top tier model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage sells for 5499 yuan, translating to roughly $819.
