Innodisk has introduced the industry first industrial grade DDR5 8000 RDIMM memory modules. The new hardware delivers an 11% speed gain over previous 7200MT/s products to handle heavy artificial intelligence processing. Capacity options range from 16GB up to 64GB for demanding workstation environments.
Factory environments expose memory hardware to severe electrical and physical stress. Innodisk addressed this by integrating transient voltage suppression diodes alongside an electronic fuse directly on the module. These components guard the memory against sudden power spikes and voltage instability. The design also features 30 microinch gold plated contacts and specialized anti sulfuration treatments to prevent corrosion over long periods of continuous operation.
Addressing the shifting demands of industrial computing, Samson Chang, the General Manager of the Innodisk Industrial DRAM Division, highlighted that memory bandwidth is now just as critical as raw processor speed.
As AI workloads expand rapidly, system performance is no longer just about boosting compute power. Processing massive volumes of data efficiently is just as critical. The DDR5 8000 series helps customers overcome memory bandwidth bottlenecks, offering a flexible upgrade path from the memory side to build a solid foundation for AI applications.
The company is already preparing to expand this high speed memory family. Plans are in place for the first quarter of 2027 to roll out DDR5 8000 speeds across several other physical layouts. These upcoming releases will include standard and error correcting CUDIMM and CSO DIMM options to serve compact edge systems and industrial motherboards.
