Lenovo has expanded its Windows on Arm lineup with 2 budget laptops running Qualcomm Snapdragon C silicon. Listed on the official Lenovo PSREF database, the IdeaPad Slim 3 14Q7X11 and 15Q7X11 bring ARM architecture to the entry tier IdeaPad family. However, system memory caps at 8GB, making these machines strictly suited for light daily computing.
Both models run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon C C11 0100 processor. The chip features an 8 core CPU configuration alongside an Adreno graphics unit. Clock speeds reach 3GHz on 1 primary performance core, 2.6GHz on 3 secondary cores, and 2GHz across 4 GPU cores, supported by 2MB of internal cache. Internal storage comes in the form of 128GB of on board UFS 3.1 flash memory, though users get an extra M.2 2242 PCIe Gen3 x2 slot for adding an SSD. System memory is soldered to the board, available in either 4GB or 8GB LPDDR5X 6393 configurations.
The 2 machines differ primarily in screen real estate and carry weight. The 14 inch IdeaPad Slim 3 starts at 1.39kg and uses a 1920x1200 IPS panel with 400 nits of brightness and 45% NTSC color coverage. The larger 15 inch version weighs 1.59kg and offers an optional touch screen upgrade with 100% sRGB coverage for improved color fidelity. Power is supplied by a 50Whr battery, and both laptops include 2 stereo speakers outputting 2W each, dual microphones, and an FHD webcam.
Port selection is surprisingly practical for affordable thin laptops. Each unit provides 2 USB A 5Gbps ports, 2 full function USB C 5Gbps ports, 1 HDMI 1.4 output, 1 microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. Wireless connections are handled by Wi Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0. External display output is limited, supporting a maximum of 2 independent monitors at once.
