Lenovo has launched a compact 245W GaN power adapter under its Lecoo brand. The charging brick delivers heavy load power for gaming laptops while cutting physical bulk by 30% compared to standard factory chargers. It enters the market priced at 249 yuan, which converts to roughly $35 USD.
Factory power bricks for high performance laptops are notoriously heavy. Lenovo addressed this issue by switching to gallium nitride internal hardware. The entire charger measures 82 by 82 by 33 millimeters and weighs just 449.7 grams. That makes it approximately 28% lighter than the standard 240W original power supply. Tossing this brick into a bag saves substantial space and shoulder strain during daily travel.
Electrical stability is handled through a grounded 3 prong plug. The adapter features an integrated 1.5 meter charging cable fitted with a 5.5 by 2.5 millimeter circular DC plug. Lenovo added thicker internal copper wiring and an integrated shielding layer to keep temperatures cool under continuous stress. This setup allows hardware like the Zhan 7000, Zhan 7000P, and Zhan 7000X laptops to run at peak capacity in Beast Mode or Battle Mode without dropping power output.
