LG has revealed the Gram Book AI 2026, a 14 inch laptop built to counter rising processor prices with extreme battery efficiency. The machine features an Intel Core Series 3 Wildcat Lake chip, an aluminum body, and an advertised battery life of up to 30.5 hours. It goes on sale through the official LGE store with a starting price of 1.45 million won.
Rising silicon prices have pushed many buyers out of the premium laptop market. LG is targeting that exact gap. Under the hood, the laptop runs on the Intel Core Series 3 processor codenamed Wildcat Lake, tuned specifically for power efficiency. A 61.2Wh battery powers the system, which LG claims can run for up to 30.5 hours on a single charge. Users can also toggle a dedicated silent mode to suppress fan noise when working in quiet libraries or office spaces.
Despite its position as a value focused option, the laptop does not rely on cheap plastic. The entire body is built from polished aluminum, keeping the overall weight down to 1.29 kilograms with a thickness of 14.9 millimeters. This marks the first time LG has released a 14 inch form factor in the Gram Book family. The compact dimensions make it easy to slide into small backpacks without sacrificing structural rigidity.
Software compatibility remains straightforward with Windows installed out of the box. A physical Copilot key on the keyboard gives users instant access to Windows AI tools. For security, LG added a physical webcam shutter to prevent unwanted video capture after conference calls end. The bundled LG Gram Link software allows seamless wireless pairing with Android and iOS devices, letting users transfer files or share their keyboard and mouse across multiple screens.
LG skipped the modern trend of removing legacy ports. The chassis includes HDMI, USB A, USB C, a headphone jack, and an RJ45 ethernet port for wired internet. Buyers can purchase the laptop outright or opt for an official subscription plan that covers up to 4 years of warranty service. This plan includes free repairs, locked monthly rates, and 1 free replacement of the battery and keyboard during the contract.
Jeon Seung eun, Head of MS Marketing at LG Electronics Korea, emphasized the balance between hardware and price point:
