MAXSUN has launched the MS iCraft B850M GKD5 WIFI, a compact motherboard built for high speed memory overclocking. The board features a 10+2+1 phase power delivery system, support for DDR5 speeds up to 8800MT/s, and PCIe Gen5 connectivity for graphics and storage. It is currently available on Chinese ecommerce platforms for 1249 yuan, which converts to roughly $185 USD.
The board targets memory enthusiasts by using a 2DIMM layout that pushes DDR5 frequencies up to 8800MT/s. Power delivery relies on a 10+2+1 phase setup with 110A DrMOS chips, easily handling processors with a 250W TDP rating. An integrated clock generator gives users the ability to fine tune system frequencies for better performance. Cooling is handled by Skylight RGB alloy heatsinks that cover the main power stages, while a physical push button quick release latch allows builders to remove thick graphics cards in seconds.
Expansion slots are generous for a smaller board. Builders get 2 PCIe slots and 3 M.2 SSD mounts, with 1 main slot and 2 storage bays supporting full PCIe Gen5 bandwidth. Wired internet runs through a fast 5GbE LAN port, paired with Wi Fi 6E for wireless connections. The rear panel provides a 10Gbps USB C port with DisplayPort video output, while internal headers allow for a front panel 20Gbps USB C connection. At 1249 yuan or roughly $185 USD, the board delivers top tier hardware specifications for budget focused gaming builds.
