A new compact desktop powered by Intel Wildcat Lake silicon has arrived. The MINIX N304 AI pairs dual ethernet connections and twin M.2 storage slots with 16GB of onboard memory. It is currently listed on the official MINIX website with a price tag of 715 dollars.
Under the hood, the mini PC runs on the Intel Core 3 processor 304. MINIX solders 16GB of LPDDR5X 6400 memory directly onto the board. Storage is handled by an included 512GB PCIe Gen3 solid state drive. Users also get room to grow. The system provides 2 separate M.2 2280 bays wired for PCIe Gen4 x1 speeds. Windows 11 Pro comes already loaded out of the box.
The compact chassis measures 127 by 126.8 by 46 millimeters and features a brushed metal texture across the exterior. Physical connectivity on the front panel is practical. You get 1 combo 3.5mm audio jack, 1 full feature USB C port running at 10Gbps, and 2 USB A ports also capable of 10Gbps transfer speeds.
Around the back, MINIX includes 2 USB A ports running at 480Mbps alongside dual 1GbE RJ45 ethernet jacks for local networking duties. Video output options include 1 DisplayPort 1.4 port and 1 HDMI 2.1 TMDS port. When paired with the front USB C connector, the machine can power up to 3 external monitors simultaneously. Wireless communication is handled by a card supporting Wi Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.
