MSI has launched the Katana 15 HX C14WX gaming laptop in China, also sold under the Shadow 15 Max HX 2026 name. The new machine combines an Intel Core i7 14650HX processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU in a slimmer chassis. Official pricing starts at 10599 yuan.
The updated chassis cuts down on bulk compared to the previous release. It measures 10.2% thinner and drops 12.5% of total weight. Angular case lines and a dark night finish give the outer lid a blade style look. Internal cooling relies on 3 heat pipes, 2 fans, and 4 exhaust vents. This thermal layout allows the combined hardware to sustain up to 170W of total performance output during demanding gaming sessions.
Visuals run on a 15.6 inch QHD display running at 165Hz with 100% sRGB color coverage. Below the screen, the keyboard provides 4 zone RGB backlighting alongside 1.7mm key travel for typing and gaming. Portable power comes from an integrated 60Wh battery, while wireless connectivity is handled by a Wi Fi 6E card.
Internal memory comes configured with 16GB of DDR4 SO DIMM, while storage tasks use a 512GB PCIe Gen 4 solid state drive. The physical layout provides 1 full featured USB C port running at 10Gbps, 2 USB A ports at 10Gbps, and 1 USB A port at 5Gbps. For networking and external displays, the laptop includes 1 HDMI 2.1 connector, an RJ45 ethernet jack, and a standard 3.5mm combo audio port.
