Designed as a lightweight full frame optic, the pancake style prime provides an equivalent focal length of 52.5mm on cropped sensor cameras. The lens is hitting store shelves in black and silver finishes with a starting price of 699 yuan (approx. $104 USD).
Weighing just 163 grams and measuring 36 millimeters tall, the lens prioritizes portable daily shooting. The barrel uses an all metal exterior construction that matches compact mirrorless bodies without adding unnecessary bulk. Internally, the optical layout consists of 7 elements arranged in 5 groups. A 9 blade aperture diaphragm delivers rounded background blur when shooting wide open.
Auto focus capabilities remain fully supported on the new X mount option alongside the existing Sony E, Nikon Z, and Leica L mount options. The minimum focusing distance sits at 0.35 meters. This allows photographers to get reasonably close for detail shots and street portraits.
