Hardware configurations differ across the 4 units to match distinct business workloads. The U8 725 and U12 725 models run on a quad core Intel Xeon D 2712T Ice Lake D processor paired with 16GB of DDR4 memory out of the box. For heavier enterprise virtualization demands, the U12 725 Plus and U16 725 Plus step up to an 8 core Intel Xeon D 2733NT chip backed by 32GB of DDR4 RAM. Both tiers are built to handle continuous multi user access and intensive data operations.
Internal expandability is identical across the entire hardware range. Every unit includes 3 M.2 2280 slots wired for PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe solid state drives to act as high speed cache or dedicated storage pools.
