ThundeRobot has launched the G50 8K gaming controller, a competitive gamepad built around an ultra responsive 8 KHz polling rate. The new controller features swappable trigger hardware, mechanical face switches, and custom joysticks designed for multi platform play. It is currently available in China starting at 299 yuan, which converts to roughly 42 dollars.
Speed is the main selling point of the G50 8K. The controller transfers up to 8000 inputs per second, cutting response time down to 0.001 seconds. According to official product listings from ThundeRobot, the proprietary wireless tech delivers an overall latency of around 0.7 milliseconds over a 2.4G connection. Wired operation pushes latency down even further to 0.2 milliseconds. That makes the wired connection roughly 10 times faster than the previous generation, while the wireless connection is 20 times faster.
Precision controls receive major physical upgrades. The sticks run on the fourth generation K Silver JS13Pro plus module, supporting the full 8000 Hz rate alongside 8 to 12 bit resolution steps. Players can tweak the outer deadzones and stick tension directly. For the triggers, a quick switch mechanism lets you jump between linear Hall effect sensors and instant micro switches. Hall effect triggers give you deep travel for racing throttles, while micro switches provide instant feedback for shooters.
The face buttons use Kailh mechanical micro switches rated for 5 times the operational lifespan of standard Xbox gamepads. A dedicated fire key allows players to map gyro aiming to the analog sticks on the fly. ThundeRobot also included a standalone mouse button that converts the right stick into a desktop cursor for strategy titles. The controller connects across PC, Switch 1, Switch 2, Android, iOS, and smart TVs through Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless, or USB cable.
Custom profiles are managed through the Mix Driver PC tool, allowing you to store layouts straight onto the internal onboard memory without running background apps. Bundle editions include an LED wireless charging dock. This dock houses the dedicated 8K wireless receiver and acts as a wake up station, keeping the wireless signal close to the controller to eliminate desktop interference.
