Xiaomi has launched the Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro in China, bringing new Snapdragon silicon and massive batteries to its tablet lineup. The standard 11.2 inch slate runs a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, while the larger 12.5 inch Pro version steps up to the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Prices start at 2999 yuan, which converts to around 420 USD.

Both tablets focus on long battery endurance and sharp display panels. The standard Pad 9 features an 11.2 inch screen and houses a 9720mAh battery. For buyers wanting more screen space and faster performance, the Pad 9 Pro comes with a 12.5 inch display and a massive 11000mAh battery. Xiaomi claims the larger Pro model can handle up to 14.5 hours of continuous short video playback or 20 hours of online video conferences on a single charge. Color choices for the base model include peach pink, spruce green, black, and silver, while the Pro model comes in spruce green, black, and silver.
Announced during the official Xiaomi product showcase, both tablets come in several memory variants with optional matte soft light screens designed to reduce glare. The standard Xiaomi Pad 9 starts at 2999 yuan or 420 USD for the 8GB and 128GB version. The 8GB and 256GB edition costs 3299 yuan or 460 USD, while the specialized 8GB and 256GB soft light edition is priced at 3499 yuan or 490 USD. The top configuration with 12GB and 256GB costs 3799 yuan or 530 USD.
The more capable Pad 9 Pro starts at 3799 yuan or 530 USD for the entry 8GB and 128GB tier. Upgrading to 8GB and 256GB brings the price to 4099 yuan or 575 USD, while the 12GB and 256GB version costs 4599 yuan or 645 USD. The 12GB and 256GB soft light edition sells for 4799 yuan or 670 USD, and the flagship 16GB and 256GB configuration tops out the range at 4999 yuan or 700 USD. Global launch plans for these devices have not yet been announced by Xiaomi.
