Active Matter Surpasses 500k Copies Sold Worldwide

Gaijin Entertainment announced that Active Matter has sold over 500k copies worldwide across PC and console platforms. The tactical shooter reached this milestone through sales on Steam, the Gaijin.Net Store, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5. The development team is currently building the 1 major content update to expand the game world.

Anton Yudintsev, cofounder of Gaijin Entertainment, pointed to consistent sales as evidence that unforgiving tactical games can find lasting success through player recommendations:

Half a million copies is a very strong result for a hardcore game like ours. What is especially encouraging is that sales have remained remarkably steady since launch. This kind of long tail performance is much more characteristic of hardcore titles, which tend to grow through word of mouth and a committed community. It shows us that there is a substantial audience looking for this kind of experience, and Active Matter is only at the beginning of its journey. We are looking forward to expanding the game with new content and features over the coming years.

Developers are already producing the 1 major post launch update for the game. The upcoming release introduces new playable maps alongside fresh weapons, enemy variants, and bosses. Visual adjustments are also underway to deepen environmental immersion across all supported platforms. Gaijin Entertainment plans to detail the complete patch roadmap soon.
