Agility Robotics Partners with Nyobolt for Digit 5 Rapid Charging

Agility Robotics has partnered with battery developer Nyobolt to equip the Digit 5 humanoid robot with rapid recharging hardware. The new cell design provides 90 minutes of runtime on a 9 minute charge, allowing the machine to operate for more than 20 hours in a 24 hour day. Commercial early access begins in the first half of 2027 for warehouse and manufacturing clients.

Digit 5 shifts the operational baseline by moving from a 2:1 run to charge ratio seen in Digit 4 to a 10:1 ratio. This quick turnaround allows a single unit to cover more than 2 full work shifts each day, cutting idle downtime in logistics facilities. Nyobolt engineered the battery pack to reduce overall payload weight while maintaining high power output and long cycle durability under demanding industrial conditions.

Daniel Diez, Chief Business Officer at Agility Robotics, outlined the economic impact of the battery upgrade on commercial fleet operations:

Digit 5 will deliver more than 20 hours of productive work in a 24 hour day, more than two full shifts. That is the kind of gain that materially improves the value customers get from Digit and the economics of deploying a humanoid robot fleet.

Agility Robotics plans to deliver early access Digit 5 units equipped with Nyobolt packs in the first half of 2027. Production capacity will ramp up over the following 6 to 9 months for broader distribution across manufacturing and logistics sites. The company is also completing its merger with Churchill Capital Corp XI, expected to close in the final quarter of 2026. Following the close, the robotics firm will trade on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker symbol AGLT.
