Amazon Announces Fallout Shelter The Experiment Reality Competition

Amazon has announced Fallout Shelter The Experiment, an unscripted competition series set inside a physical bunker environment. Contestants will endure psychological trials and social challenges inspired by the franchise to win a $1,000,000 cash prize. The 10 episode season premieres on Prime Video early next year with a multi week rollout.

Producers plan to isolate participants in a detailed Vault Tec facility modeled after the video game series. Competitions test 7 core player attributes derived from the classic SPECIAL system, measuring strength, perception, endurance, charisma, intelligence, agility, and luck. Aside from athletic stamina, players will face moral dilemmas, teamwork puzzles, and psychological stress tests designed to simulate survival pressures.

Studio Lambert heads the production following their work on Squid Game The Challenge. Television creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy serve as executive producers alongside Bethesda director Todd Howard. The reality project will not alter plans for the scripted Fallout series, which currently has season 3 in production for broadcast next year.
