HUAWEI has released the X2 and X2 Pro, two new Wi Fi 7 routers featuring a book style chassis with hidden internal antennas. The Pro version adds a magnetic plate system that lets users swap decorative covers or attach custom 3D printed panels. Both models are currently on sale in China starting at $71 for the base unit.
HUAWEI powers both routers using Lingxiao 760 series chips combined with 4 signal amplifiers and an intelligent internal antenna array. The dual band system operates across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, delivering combined throughput up to 3570 Mbps. Internal memory includes 256 MB of RAM and 128 MB of storage, with total power consumption staying below 18W. Physical connectivity includes 1 ethernet port at 2.5 Gbps and 3 gigabit ports. Each network jack automatically switches between WAN and LAN modes depending on your cable configuration.
The hardware connects through AI Mesh technology to blanket large homes in coverage. A single router covers spaces up to 90 square meters, while a 2 pack setup spans between 90 and 150 square meters. Through the HUAWEI Smart Life mobile application, users can upload their home floor plan to receive algorithm calculated placement recommendations. Both units include a dedicated gaming channel for compatible HUAWEI devices and an integrated smart home gateway that communicates via StarFlash, Bluetooth, and Wi Fi.
HUAWEI separates the two models through physical aesthetics. The standard X2 comes only in white, while the X2 Pro offers brown, white, and gray finishes alongside a magnetic faceplate for quick swapping. Pricing in China begins at $70 for a single X2 and $132 for a 2 pack. The X2 Pro sells for $90 individually, with the 2 pack retailing for $163.
