Razer has introduced the Barracuda V2 Pro, a wireless gaming headset built for simultaneous desktop and mobile use. The device features 40 mm Bio Cellulose drivers, hybrid active noise cancellation, and up to 70 hours of battery life. Razer designed the 285 gram frame to handle both 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth connections at the same time.
The headset uses Razer TriForce Bio Cellulose 40 mm drivers to deliver clean audio across high, mid, and low frequencies without distortion. When connected to a PC, the system enables THX Spatial Audio+ to produce 7.1.4 virtual surround sound. This setup incorporates 4 virtual overhead audio channels to position game sounds directly above the listener. For noisy environments, hybrid active noise cancellation uses both internal and external microphones to block outside interference.
Razer HyperSpeed Wireless provides low latency 2.4 GHz connectivity across PC, mobile, console, and handheld platforms. A physical Razer SmartSwitch button toggles between 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth protocols in seconds. The hardware supports simultaneous audio playback from both connections, allowing users to take phone calls or stream music without pausing their active video game.
Voice capture relies on a dual mode microphone setup. A detachable boom microphone handles team chat during PC sessions, while internal beamforming microphones activate when the boom mic is removed for travel. AI microphone noise cancellation operates across both setups to filter out ambient sound. The headset weighs 285 grams and features a fold flat chassis with internal storage for the wireless dongle. The internal battery delivers up to 70 hours of operation before requiring a recharge.
