YouTube channel Dame Tech published a real world gaming comparison between the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Plus and the Apple iPad Pro M5. The test pits the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor against Apple M5 silicon across several demanding mobile titles. While both tablets handle modern graphics engines, the iPad Pro maintains an advantage in frame pacing and software optimization.
In Wuthering Waves at maximum visual settings, the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus renders at 2800x1752 resolution with a 60 fps cap, dipping between 50 and 60 fps during open world combat. The iPad Pro M5 outputs a sharper 2816x1940 resolution and delivers frame rates between 60 and 90 fps with visibly higher quality textures. The gap widens in Fortnite. Samsung runs the battle royale title at 2680x1672 locked to 60 fps, whereas the iPad Pro hits a higher native resolution and sustains 120 fps for noticeably smoother motion.
The test results shift slightly in Where Winds Meet, where the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus outputs at a higher 2800x1752 resolution compared to the 2420x1668 target on the iPad Pro. However, Apple hardware delivers a locked 60 fps, while the Samsung slate stutters between 40 and 50 fps. The Android tablet also exhibits reduced draw distance and frequent texture pop in during fast movement. Across all 3 benchmarks, the M5 chip and tailored developer optimization give Apple the overall lead in heavy gaming workloads.
