Samsung Electronics has released a limited edition 9100 PRO solid state drive bundled with Persona 4 Revival themed collectibles. Built on PCIe Gen5 technology, the high speed storage drive delivers sequential read speeds up to 14800 MB/s. The collectible package is currently available in China starting at 1549 yuan ($215), with no word on an international launch.
The collaboration package pairs the bare storage drive with physical gaming merchandise. Buyers receive a custom luggage tag, a scented sticker, a branded wristband, and decorative photo frame stickers featuring Persona 4 Revival artwork. Samsung offers the set in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities.
Samsung builds the 9100 PRO on the standard M.2 2280 form factor using a PCIe Gen5 x4 interface and the NVMe 2.0 protocol. Internal components include Samsung V NAND TLC memory chips, an in house memory controller, and dedicated LPDDR4X cache. Performance metrics reach sequential read speeds of 14800 MB/s. Random throughput peaks at 2200K IOPS for reads and 2600K IOPS for writes.
Pricing starts at 1549 yuan ($215) for the 1TB model. The 2TB configuration retails for 2849 yuan ($395), while the top tier 4TB edition costs 5799 yuan ($805). All 3 variants are currently shipping in the domestic Chinese market.
