Vantex has launched the V1, a mechanical keyboard that embeds a 45x45 mm touchpad directly between its split key clusters. The device features 60 hot swappable keys, a CNC machined aluminum body, and triple mode wireless connectivity. Crowdfunding preorders are live on Kickstarter starting at $129, though shipping dates remain unconfirmed.

The hardware uses a split layout designed to keep wrists in a natural position during long typing sessions. Placing the touch module in the center allows users to control the mouse pointer on screen without reaching to the side. Vantex fits the board with 60 programmable keys and includes durable PBT keycaps in the retail box. The internal structure uses sound dampening layers to soften typing impacts and lower acoustic noise.

Vantex equips the board with linear mechanical switches rated for 50,000,000 presses with an actuation force of around 42 grams. Hot swap sockets allow owners to replace switches without soldering. The chassis is carved from aluminum via CNC machining, measuring 30.74 by 13.74 by 3.48 centimeters with a total weight of 1.57 kilograms. Microsoft Copilot does not have a physical key on this board, though users can program custom key combinations to trigger the software.

Connectivity options include USB C wired connections, Bluetooth, and 2.4 GHz wireless links. The wireless model contains a 4000 mAh battery, with software tested across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Kickstarter early pricing starts at $129 for the wired version and $159 for the wireless edition, with expected retail pricing climbing to $259 and $299 once mass production begins.
