AMD Raises GPU and GDDR6 Bundle Prices for Graphics Card Manufacturers

AMD has raised the wholesale supply cost for graphics processors bundled with GDDR6 memory. According to supply chain platform ChannelGate, the price adjustment directly affects board partners purchasing component kits for graphics card production. This marks the second price hike for manufacturers within the fourth quarter.

AMD adjusts component kit pricing on a quarterly schedule to reflect market expenses for silicon and memory procurement. When raw component costs shift, the company updates wholesale rates to hardware makers. This pricing practice transfers component price fluctuations directly to board partners rather than absorbing memory market increases across the fiscal period.

GDDR6 memory contract prices increased by roughly 8 to 10% during Q3. In response, AMD executed an initial price increase on its GPU and memory kits last month, with a second substantial price hike scheduled for this month. The combined increases offset the rising procurement costs of GDDR6 memory chips supplied to manufacturing partners worldwide.
