Escape from Tarkov creator Nikita Buyanov has unveiled 14 minutes of in engine gameplay for Fragmentary Order, a hardcore first person tactical science fiction shooter developed by Rant Gaming. Set across the Solar System in the year 2251, the combat simulator replaces traditional soldiers with remotely piloted clones. Early access testing is available immediately through a paid program starting at $44.99 on the official project website.
War in Fragmentary Order functions as an outsourced corporate operation. Players enter combat through RepEnts, biological clone bodies controlled from remote stations. Dying during a mission is treated as a operational cost rather than a final game over. Buyanov framed the project around long term survival systems rather than short competitive matches.
We are not building a match you play. We are building a world you live in, for years. Tarkov is still worth playing after 10 years, and I want Fragmentary Order to be just as playable and engaging a decade from now.
The reveal footage shows teams of up to 4 players moving through large maps subject to shifting weather conditions. Combat relies on drone scans, fragmentation grenades, long range sniper positions, and ground vehicles for cross sector movement. The simulation introduces environmental challenges such as unstable communication signals and extensive inventory looting under hostile fire.
Rant Gaming introduced a closed testing initiative named Prime Batch. The Candidate tier costs $44.99 and gives buyers access to closed alpha builds alongside technical playtests. The Founder tier costs $79.99, adding earlier experimental game versions, access to the internal development roadmap, and a dedicated developer communication forum. Rant Gaming currently employs 150 staff members worldwide, with ongoing recruitment aimed at expanding the studio to 500 developers.
