HiBy has announced the R6III SE, a portable HiFi digital audio player featuring 4 CS43198 DAC chips alongside Class A and Class AB amplifier switching. The hardware pairs dual dedicated audio oscillators with a Snapdragon 665 processor to bypass standard Android audio resampling. The unit is available now in China for 1798 yuan.
HiBy built the audio architecture around 4 Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chips providing 8 independent output channels. The amplification stage allows listeners to switch between Class A and Class AB operational modes. The Class A circuit relies on an OPA1652 operational amplifier, dedicated transistors, and ELNA audio capacitors. Dedicated audio crystal oscillators clocked at 45.158MHz and 49.152MHz regulate digital audio timing to minimize signal jitter.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor powers the device alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The bottom edge provides 3.5mm headphone out, 4.4mm balanced out, 3.5mm line out, and 4.4mm balanced line out analog ports. Digital connections pass through a USB Type C port supporting coaxial digital output. System wide Direct Transport Audio technology bypasses the default Android sample rate conversion, while HiByCast allows complete remote control from another device. Wireless connectivity includes 2.4G and 5.0G dual band Wi Fi alongside two way Bluetooth 5.0 with support for LDAC and UAT transmission.
A 4500mAh battery provides varied playback times depending on the chosen amplification mode and output port. In Class AB mode, playback reaches 13 hours on the 3.5mm port and 11 hours on the 4.4mm balanced output. Switching to Class A mode drops playback to 11 hours on the 3.5mm port and 9 hours on the 4.4mm balanced output. The player measures 129.4 by 73.1 by 15.6 millimeters and weighs 250 grams. The exterior comes in black or navy blue, featuring a 5 inch 1280x720 IPS display on the front and a diamond cut textured glass back panel.
