Honor X5e s Launches with Rear Display and 6000 mAh Battery

Honor has launched the Honor X5e s, an entry level smartphone featuring a secondary 2 inch rear screen alongside a 6000 mAh battery. The rear panel display acts as a viewfinder for selfies using the 13 MP main camera while also showing media controls and incoming call alerts. The handset is currently available in Russian retail stores starting at 11990 rubles (roughly $125).

The primary screen measures 6.9 inches with a 1600x720 resolution, a 90 Hz refresh rate, and 600 nits of typical brightness. On the back, the secondary 2 inch screen sits next to the main 13 MP camera, which includes an LED flash and 4x digital zoom. A separate 5 MP front camera handles standard video calls.

The device runs on a MediaTek Helio G81 processor built with 2 Cortex A75 cores running at 2.0 GHz and 6 Cortex A55 cores running at 1.7 GHz. Internal hardware pairs 4GB of RAM with either 64GB or 128GB of storage. Storage is expandable up to 1TB using a dedicated microSD card slot that does not occupy either of the 2 physical SIM slots. The phone ships with Android 16.

A 6000 mAh battery powers the phone through 15W wired charging. The chassis measures 8.4 millimeters thick, weighs 206.5 grams, and comes in black, blue, and purple. Physical connectivity includes a side mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The 4GB RAM with 64GB storage model costs 11990 rubles ($125), while the 4GB with 128GB version sells for 13990 rubles ($145).
