HUAWEI Announces Qingyun HM650 Desktop Powered by Kirin X90

HUAWEI has announced the Qingyun HM650, a desktop computer running HarmonyOS on proprietary Kirin silicon. The workstation pairs a Kirin X90 processor with a dual layer cooling system built for sustained office computing. The base configuration includes 16 GB of memory, while retail pricing and launch dates remain unannounced.

HUAWEI confirmed that over 21000 desktop applications now support HarmonyOS natively. The software catalog covers office productivity tools, artificial intelligence utilities, educational suites, media streaming, and content creation platforms. This catalog provides functional coverage for common enterprise workflows as the company establishes an independent desktop environment.

The Qingyun HM650 runs on the Kirin X90 processor. Thermal management relies on a dual layer cooling array engineered to prevent performance throttling during long processing tasks. For the HM650g variant, HUAWEI sets the baseline memory at 16 GB of RAM, with several solid state storage options planned for commercial deployment.

HUAWEI stated that official pricing and regional release schedules will appear in a separate announcement. The computer will target corporate and government clients before expanding into standard retail channels.
