Social tools now sit directly inside the main navigation bar. Players can join voice parties, start chats, and view online friends without clicking through hidden submenus. The library view also received an overhaul, adding cleaner sorting filters to help users separate installed games from downloadable add ons. A unified search bar now delivers combined results for game titles, extra content packs, and player gamertags simultaneously.
Microsoft is also expanding its updated cloud gaming portal at play.xbox.com to more web users. The revised web interface organizes streaming titles into a dedicated library tab, whether games are owned directly or accessed through XBOX Game Pass. A desktop view uses screen space more efficiently on large monitors, while display options add dark mode, light mode, and 5 high contrast accessibility themes.
Similar navigation updates are arriving on cloud gaming applications for smart TVs and VR headsets. The goal is to standardize layout basics across displays so launching games feels identical on television screens and virtual headsets. Windows players can test the revised desktop experience right now by downloading the XBOX Insider Hub.
