RedMagic 12 Pro Global Release Brings Liquid Cooling and 185 Hz Display

RedMagic has launched the RedMagic 12 Pro for international markets, bringing its dual loop liquid cooling system and 185 Hz AMOLED display to global buyers. The gaming smartphone runs on Qualcomm 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 silicon backed by an internal fan spinning at 25500 RPM and an 8400 mAh battery. Pricing starts at $949 in the US and €899 across Europe, with open sales beginning later this month.

Cooling relies on the AquaCore 3.0 thermal setup. This system merges an internal vapor chamber, dual liquid loops, and a physical centrifugal fan running at 25500 RPM to pull heat away from the 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor. A secondary RedCore R5 chip manages gaming tasks and trigger inputs. Memory configurations scale up to 16GB of RAM with up to 1TB of internal storage.

The front panel uses a 6.85 inch BOE X11 AMOLED screen running at 2688x1216 resolution with refresh rates up to 185 Hz. A 16 MP selfie camera sits beneath the glass, leaving the display entirely free of cutouts or punch holes. Touch sensitive shoulder triggers along the frame handle game inputs, while dual stereo speakers provide Dolby Atmos audio output.

Battery capacity measures 8400 mAh, though wired charging drops from the 120W speed found on the Chinese model to 80W on this international release. Wireless charging speeds remain identical at 80W. Rear photography relies on 2 cameras, including a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization and a 50 MP ultrawide sensor.

The chassis carries IP68 and IP69 ratings against water and dust, measuring 8.55 millimeters thick and weighing 223 grams. Buyers can choose between 2 transparent finishes called Nightfreeze and Subzero. Hardware extras include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, 5G cellular support, and an infrared transmitter. US pricing ranges from $949 to $1199, while European configurations cost between €899 and €1199.
