Thermal Grizzly has released the PhaseSheet PTM Pro, an updated phase change thermal pad designed for desktop processors. The new interface boosts thermal conductivity over the standard model and adds a redesigned protective film to simplify application. Measuring 40x40 mm, the pad is now available on the official company website in the United States for $23.
The PhaseSheet PTM Pro relies on a specialized phase change compound. At room temperature, the sheet remains completely solid for easy alignment on the heat spreader. Once temperatures exceed 45 °C, the pad softens into a fluid state that spreads across the cooler contact plate like standard paste. Because the compound is electrically non conductive, users can apply it to both desktop processors and graphics cards without risk of short circuits.
Thermal Grizzly engineered the pad to resist pump out degradation over repeated heating cycles. The melted formula maintains low viscosity during operation, then contracts and solidifies as hardware cools down. For the thinnest thermal layer and maximum contact efficiency, the manufacturer specifies a mounting pressure between 300 and 400 N during heatsink installation.
