Ubisoft released a major content patch for Assassin's Creed Valhalla titled The Most Requested Update, arriving 6 years after the original launch. The patch adds the long awaited New Game Plus mode, letting players replay the campaign with their earned equipment against scaling difficulty tiers. The update is available now across all supported platforms alongside dedicated visual upgrades for PlayStation 5 Pro hardware.
The New Game Plus mode raises enemy difficulty with each subsequent playthrough to test endgame character builds. Ubisoft introduced a fresh in game currency called mythril to reward repeat exploration. Players collect mythril by finding duplicate gear pieces, rereading books of knowledge, and completing village raids. This system makes previously cleared treasure chests useful again for veteran accounts.
Players can now discover platinum ingots directly inside base game chests, allowing equipment upgrades to divine tier without owning extra expansions. The blacksmith forge lets players spend silver coins to upgrade runes into an entirely new quality bracket. A separate storage chest is now available to help players organize excess weapons, armor pieces, and runes outside of their active bags.
Ubisoft added fresh cosmetics and new achievements for completionists returning to ninth century England. The console release also introduces support for PSSR 2 upscaling technology on PlayStation 5 Pro to sharpen overall visual output. The update gives experienced players a direct reason to revisit the campaign with their endgame builds.
