vivo has introduced the Y32 5G, a budget smartphone centered on long battery life and heavy chassis durability. The device pairs an 8000 mAh battery with 44W charging alongside certified IP68 and IP69 water and dust ingress protection. The manufacturer has not yet revealed official pricing or retail availability dates.
The 8000 mAh battery supports 44W wired fast charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging to power external electronics. Official laboratory testing states that the battery retains over 80% of its usable capacity after completing 1500 charge cycles. This setup targets long term durability for power intensive users.
The front of the phone features a 6.87 inch IPS screen operating at a 1592x720 resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. Computing relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. A dedicated card tray allows storage expansion up to 2TB using microSD cards, while users can assign up to 6GB of internal storage as virtual memory.
The exterior shell meets IP68 and IP69 standards to withstand dust ingress, continuous water submersion, and high pressure water jets. It also meets military MIL STD 810H standards and holds a 5 star SGS drop resistance rating. Photography is handled by an 8 MP front sensor and a rear array containing a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP secondary sensor.
The phone runs OriginOS 6 built on top of Android 16. Additional hardware includes stereo audio speakers, a side mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, Wi Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1. vivo offers the phone in black and gold finishes.
