Verdansk Rises: Iconic Call of Duty: Warzone Map Returns Next Spring
Every multiplayer game boasts its signature maps, instantly recognizable to fans. For Call of Duty: Warzone, Verdansk held that honor for a long time, but alas, it was removed from rotation three years ago. Now, fans' dreams of its return are finally becoming reality.
During the NEXT showcase, developers officially confirmed that the beloved location will grace our screens once more. However, the reunion won't happen until Spring 2025. And what changes await Verdansk upon its return remains shrouded in mystery.
For those unfamiliar, Verdansk served as the original battleground for Call of Duty: Warzone. Available from 2020, the map received regular updates until its retirement in 2021, explained in-universe by a devastating nuclear bombing that left the area in ruins.
