Anbernic RG35XX Pro Retro Gaming Handheld Announced With Dual Joysticks And Allwinner H700 Chipset Details

Anbernic, a trusted name in retro gaming handhelds, announces the newest device: the RG35XX Pro. After announcing several products-including the RG34XX SP and a tease for the RG Slide-the company finally sheds light on what it offers with the new RG35XX Pro. Looking closer at the specs could raise some eyebrows, however, in the matter of determining whether it deserves that designation of "Pro".

The RG35XX Pro appears to have reshaped the old RG35XX Plus more or less with some notables. The most notable inclusion, however, is the dual joysticks, something many fans of handheld gaming appreciate for an assortment of game genres. It is sure proof of the distinction he has against some of its joystick-less siblings.

Beneath this device, however, everything remains quite similar. The RG35XX Pro will run its regular functions using the same Allwinner H700 chipset that was available in the Plus model. The display stays a 3.5-inch IPS with the same resolution of 640 x 480 - a normal quality for a device of this nature. But here is a very important thing: the RG35XX Pro will still be in 1 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. If you look at it, that's a little mind-boggling, particularly contrasted with such gadgets as the RG34XX SP, which could offer a bit of advantage in experience in some situations due to better RAM management. Or it's already optimized for its very particular use case.

Interestingly, the battery capacity has seen some minor decrease. The new RG35XX Pro possesses a 3,200-mAh battery, which is 100 mAh less in voltage than what the RG35XX Plus carried. Such a degree isn't necessarily something worthy of alarm-but worth it for those who are really into every last minute of playtime.

Anbernic hasn't shared that one piece of information-the RG35XX Pro dimensions. It's probably going to be a bit bigger than some of their small offerings because it has joysticks with those aforementioned features. A lot of people are estimating it to be around the size of something like the BatleXP G350, which measures approximately 128 x 81 x 22 mm.

As for when you'll be able to purchase it, Anbernic is hinting at releasing it sometime within the next week or two. So, for those who were waiting for an RG35XX model with joysticks, its time has finally come. However, it would be worthwhile to keep in mind that "Pro" features may be at most only complementing the internal hardware, which largely mirrors that of its predecessor.
