EA Drops Major Battlefield and Skate News in Finance Report
Electronic Arts just dropped some tasty tidbits in their latest finance report, and it looks like we've got a lot to look forward to, especially if you're a fan of Battlefield or Skate.
Battlefield's Big Reveal is Finally Out
Grip your helmets tightly, as the next game in the Battlefield series is receiving a full reveal later this summer. EA clearly has a big announcement in the works. While we won't get to play it until a little later on, the company assured us that the game will be released before their 2026 fiscal year closes out, so we can expect it to hit store shelves by April 2026.
EA boss Andrew Wilson wasn't tight-lipped, labeling their forthcoming Battlefield reveal as "a pivotal step" for the firm. Reads like they're putting a lot of into making this next installment a hit.
Skate is Rolling In Too!
And for those who've been holding (or not so patiently waiting) for the return of Skate – good news here! EA again stated that the long-awaited new Skate game would be coming out sometime during this fiscal year, which ends in April 2026. We already knew early access was set for this year, but this gives us a more concrete timeline for the official release. Time to clean up those virtual skateboards!
EA Looking Forward to a Good Year
It seems that EA is relying on these big games to drive their success. The report said that their 2026 fiscal year revenue forecasts are heavily contingent upon their sports lineup, The Sims, and, surprise, the launches of Skate and Battlefield. They appear to be pretty optimistic regarding their "deep pipeline" of entertainment.
In other Battlefield news, EA also announced that their playtesting program, Battlefield Labs, is being expanded. More players, including Asian players, will be invited to join the tests in May, with new content added as well. So, if you're lucky, you might get an early look!
So, mark down your summer for a Battlefield reveal, and hold on to your hats for more Skate rumors. It appears the next year or so are going to be pretty interesting for EA fans.
