TECNO Announces POVA Curve 5G with Flagship-Style Curved Display
TECNO has officially announced its latest smartphone, POVA Curve 5G. Based on the sneak peek provided, it seems that the firm is set to bring back the cinematic curved screen edges, normally reserved for flagship devices, into a budget range.
A Glimpse of the Design
We glimpse a display that falls tastefully down the sides – a look at times called a "waterfall screen." That style is paired with shiny side edges, opting for a premium feel in the hand. Adding a bit of personality in a small but conspicuous manner is a splash of bright orange on the power button.
That design might remind you of some of the classic flagship phones of the past. TECNO seems determined to make this sensational screen design mainstream, perhaps with it finding its way to those who are not willing to spend top dollar.
What About the Back
As much as the teaser is focused on the front and sides, hearsay is rich surrounding the rear camera arrangement. Basing on indications perhaps from pertinent previous POVA series teasers (not publicly disclosed, though, to-date for Curve 5G), the central unit of the camera may get that dramatic triangle structure. Word is it includes a bold design with decorative LED light rims possibly looping round this combination of cameras.
When Can We Expect It
Rumor has the TECNO POVA Curve 5G set to launch in India later this May.
This might be a fascinating play by TECNO, taking a design feature typically found on pricier phones and putting it in the lower-priced 5G space. Stay tuned for more official news soon.
