A huge part of this player-first vision is ensuring that you can pick up your Xbox games no matter where you are. As a result, every new game revealed at the showcase is classified as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. Purchase once and then play it on your Xbox console, PC, or new Xbox Ally handhelds, with all your progress and achievements being completely seamless. No extra charge; just more ways to play.
New Play Styles The ROG Xbox Ally Handhelds
New play styles was one of the most exciting subjects for the reveal of the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handhelds. Being launched later this year, these powerful portable gadgets will allow your entire Xbox library, including games from the Windows PC stores on Xbox, Battle.net, and other major PC storefronts, to follow you wherever you venture. And just to give you an idea, the long-anticipated Hollow Knight Silksong will be available on Xbox Ally right at launch on Game Pass. In fact, basically every game shown will run beautifully on the Xbox Ally.
And were there games. So much more in-the-know for so many amazing titles that are coming to us this year and beyond.

- Mind-blowing world premiere for Call of Duty Black Ops 7-Set your watches for 2035.
- Obsidian surprised us with not one, but two viewings of The Outer Worlds 2 and Grounded 2, unexpected to-day.
- Double Fine charmed us with the worlds-weirdest premiere of Keeper, about a walking lighthouse.
- A first glimpse at the Order of the Giants DLC for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
- New gameplay was sizzling for Ninja Gaiden 4 (October 21st) and Gears of War Reloaded (remaster launching August 26th, 2025, also on PS5).
- With an even longer view ahead, we saw more of inXile's ambitious steampunk RPG Clockwork Revolution.
- And, we cannot forget, the demos for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 are live right now.

The showcase was bursting with fantastic games from partner studios too:
- New studio Quarter Up delivered a fantastic surprise with the 3v3 tag fighter Invincible VS.
- Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XVI is available on Xbox TODAY, with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade arriving later this year.
- Atlus brought the hype with the announcement of Persona 4 Revival.
- Exciting follow-ups on the beloved indies Super Meat Boy 3D, High on Life 2, and Planet of Lana II.
- World premieres and new looks on amazing new concepts The Blood of Dawnwalker (dark fantasy RPG), Game Freak's Beast of Reincarnation, beautiful creature-collecting ARPG Aniimo, sci-fi adventure Aphelion, been fascinated by At Fate's End from the Spiritfarer team, survival horror Cronos The New Dawn, tactical action-adventure Mudang Two Hearts, the smash hit webtoon turned action-RPG Solo Leveling Arise Overdrive, and delightful, cozy, and spooky musical mystery There Are No Ghosts at The Grand.
- Asobo Studio expands the Plague Tale universe with Resonance A Plague Tale Legacy, set 15 years before Requiem.
Updates for the Live Games You Like:
The fun doesn't end with new releases. We also saw exciting updates for games in progress:
- Age of Mythology Retold is going to have the "Heavenly Spear" expansion this Fall, introducing the Japanese pantheon.
- The Elder Scrolls Online worm cult is being brought back in its latest story continuation.
- Fallout 76 has just gotten a "fin-tastic" fishing update aptly titled "Gone Fission."
- Sea of Thieves Season 17, "Smugglers' Tide," launches in August with new treacherous voyages.
Phil Spencer wrapped things up with a nod to the 25th anniversary of Xbox in 2026, after a jam-packed 2025 lineup. He promised that the Xbox family would be celebrating this milestone in style with, of course, Fable, the next Forza, Gears of War E-Day, plus a possible hint on, "the return of a classic that has been with us since the beginning…" Now that is exciting.
And just when you thought that was all, right after the showcase, The Outer Worlds 2 & Grounded 2 Direct gave us a deep dive into these two hotly-anticipated sequels from Obsidian Entertainment. Clearly, Xbox is keeping the game on.
