It appears that Capcom is busying itself with something truly special for the fans of Resident Evil. The legendary survival horror series is approaching an enormous milestone-it's 30th-anniversary celebration in March 2026 itself, and apparently, the developers are in full swing to prepare for it.
Maggie Robertson, the voice of the formidable Lady Dimitrescu, was on hand to welcome Jun Takeuchi, a very famous name among Resident Evil aficionados as franchise executive producer.
While much was not teased (as with most teasers), Takeuchi strongly implied that more Resident Evil goodness is on the way. The timing for a big surprise this coming anniversary just feels right.
So what could it actually be. A brand-new mainline game. Remakes of some beloved classics. Completely new spin-offs. For now, it is all mere speculation; one thing is for sure: Resident Evil legacy will never die, and Capcom has everything lined up to keep us guessing as we inch ever closer to the 30th-anniversary date.
