Lenovo Rolls Out ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition in 'Moonlight White'

Lenovo has refreshed its ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition laptops, now offering a 'Moonlight White' option for the 14-inch and 15-inch versions. This is the first time a ThinkPad has come in white, but it's only for sale in China right now.

A First for ThinkPad

The new Moonlight White color is a big shift from the usual black and dark grey of the ThinkPad line, known for the red TrackPoint nub. Lenovo says it has added a special coat to keep the color from fading. Even with the new white body, the keyboard and screen edges are still black, giving it a two-tone look.

Main Specs Stay the Same

Other than the new color, the tech inside the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition hasn't changed from the models shown at CES 2025. Key specs are:

  • CPU: Intel Lunar Lake, up to Core Ultra 9 288V.
  • Screen: 2.8K OLED, 120 Hz refresh rate for both sizes.
  • RAM: 32 GB LPDDR5x.
  • Battery: 55 Wh in the 14-inch and 80 Wh in the 15-inch.
  • Weight: 1.21kg for 14-inch, 1.4kg for 15-inch.
  • Input: Pressure-sensitive trackpad.
  • Ports: Two Thunderbolt 4 ports, with HDMI and USB-A in the 15-inch.

Only in China for Now

It's not known if Lenovo will sell the Moonlight White globally. It's only in China for now, starting at CNY 12,999 (~$1,799) for a 14-inch with a Core Ultra 7 258V. A 15-inch with a Core Ultra 9 288V and 2 TB storage goes for CNY 16,999 (~$2,399).
