Battlefield 6 Single Player Campaign Is Sure And Comes With The Squad Command System
Battlefield 6 includes an all-new single-player campaign, bringing the storyline back to the franchise. The announcement, made during a Sony State of Play presentation, focused on how squad-based tactical gameplay would benefit the gameplay experience.
Meet Your Squad, Dagger 13
The player will be in a unit known as Dagger 13. The campaign will allow the player to experience the story from several perspectives of a member belonging to the squad and have distinct classes and abilities.
The members of Dagger 13 include:

- Dylan Murphy Engineer
- Simone "Gecko" Espina Recon
- Cliff Lopez Support
New Tactical Gameplay Mechanics
The campaign adds a very different stretch of strategy into the more normal first-person shooter. According to Roman Campos-Oriola, the creative director for the single-player experience, …he without said, squad is the basis on which mission success rests.
Player commands will be attached to squad members, allowing for tactical maneuvers such as suppressing fire while moving, or flanking an enemy force with proper command. As a key feature, players will switch at will during the action between the different members of Dagger 13, thus putting these character-based talents and abilities to use in combat.
It's nothing short of that combination of first-person action and the thinking of going to the squad level, to design a really original campaign experience fully fleshed around the core elements that form the Battlefield series.
Release Date and Platforms
Battlefield 6 is expected to launch on October 10, 2025. will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
