Redragon Launches MPC745, Its First Mini PC Powered by AMD Ryzen 7 APU
Redragon has made its official entry into the mini PC segment with the MPC745 under its well-known gaming peripherals brand. The new compact desktop packs an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor along with integrated Radeon 780M graphics, all very competitively priced with respect to the options out there.
Core Specs of the Redragon MPC745
Clearly, the MPC745 is made to be capable for gaming and productivity under the small form factor. In terms of its core specifications, here are the details:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS (8 Cores, 16 Threads)
- GPU: Integrated AMD Radeon 780M
- Memory: 16 GB DDR5-5600 (Upgradeable)
- Storage: 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD

- Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2
- Dimensions: 130 x 130 x 43 mm (0.5L Volume)
Competitive Situation and Trade-Off
The Redragon MPC745 at a price of $499.99 will compete directly with the likes of Minisforum UM880 Plus, but at slightly lower pricing. This means compromises had to be accepted, and rather interestingly, two USB 2.0 ports were included on the rear for some users with certain types of high-performance gaming keyboards that are known to have issues with the use of USB 3.x ports.
The MPC745 is available in a single configuration of 16 GB RAM. Users who may desire additional graphics prowess can also use the front-facing USB 4.0 port to connect their eGPU dock. This offers a very straightforward upgrade option.
Pricing and Availability
The price of the Redragon MPC745 is $499.99; however, the availability is limited at present:
- US and Canada Sales only.
- Currently, purchases are made through the official Redragon online store.
This might not be a good thing for customers who prefer stores like Amazon due to easier returns, however, there is a chance that the MPC745 will also be made available at Redragon's official Amazon storefront in the future, considering that the brand has other products being sold there.
