ZTE Launches Nubia Air with High-Brightness Display and Massive Battery

Now, the Nubia Air is a new Android phone that ZTE officially launched as a budget phone comparable to the upcoming iPhone 17 Air and Samsung's Galaxy S25 Edge flagship devices. It has a $279 global price tag; the phone seeks to highlight having a brightly lit display and a big battery.

Nubia Air Main Specs

The Nubia Air is powered by a Unisoc T8300 chipset. It has a competitive set of hardware features, which ZTE puts out below for this price.

Specifications

Display: 6.78 inches AMOLED, resolution-specified as 2,720 x 1,224 and refresh rate of 120 Hz also 4,500 nits peak brightness.

Battery: 5,000 mAh with 33-W wired charging

Chipset: Unisoc T8300 (2x ARM Cortex-A78/6x Cortex-A55 cores)

Cameras: 50-mp primary and 2 auxiliary sensors, 20-mp front-facing camera.

Design and Availability

Nubia Air will be available in three colors Streamer Black, Titanium Black, and Titanium Desert. Although ZTE argues that the device is 5.9 mm thick, it is more likely to weigh closer to 6.7 mm.

The handset will be priced at €249 in Europe later this month and subsequently released globally in the Middle East, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. However, ZTE has not unveiled whether it will be available in the US nor has it stated when the phone will be released to the wider global audience.
