Subaru Unveils All-Electric Performance-E STI Concept
With great pride, Subaru displays a full-be electric iteration of its famed STI sports line vehicle at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. Dubbed the Subaru Performance-E STI Concept, it is intended to serve as a big leap toward an eco-friendly performance future and is touted as an everyday car.
Core Engineering and Design Features
The Performance-E STI is based on a new architecture with several key technologies that yield better performance and practicality.
- Cylindrical Floor-Integrated Battery: A primal layout is its cylindrical battery pack built directly into the floor. This decreases the center of gravity by 15% relative to previous Subaru models.
 - New Suspension and Lower Profile: The vehicle benefits from a new suspension system. This, together with the new architecture, allows for a 5% lower hood line, which will directly contribute to the handling and response of the vehicle.
 - Enhanced Structural Rigidity and Cabin Space: The structure also enhances rigging and additional space within the cabin.

Future Production and Brand Direction
Subaru has not confirmed whether or not the Performance-E STI Concept will enter serial production but has said that this concept vehicle puts the direction of the brand's future sports electric vehicles clearly on the map, indicating a distinct commitment to electric performance.
