Konami Plans to Launch New Silent Hill Games Every Year
Following a successful year for most of the recent titles, Konami is on its way to drastically ramping up the number of games in the Silent Hill horror franchise and aims to release more new entries within the franchise.
The Producer Lists an Ambitious Release Schedule
In an interview with Famitsu, series producer Motoi Okamoto said the publisher wants to create a release schedule for its immensely popular horror series. Our aim is to have approximately one game released every year, including known as well as unannounced projects.
I may not be able to accomplish this, but as the producer of the series, I would like to do everything I can. We will strive to share more with you, so please be patient.

A Busy Production Pipeline
Production is on fast track already with Konami. The recent and notable upcoming releases are also typical manifestations of ramped contribution:
- 2023: Interactive series Silent Hill: Ascension.
- 2024: Silent Hill: The Short Message and remake of Silent Hill 2.
- Fall 2025: a planned release for Silent Hill f.
Besides these developments, Silent Hill: Townfall and a reimagining of the original Silent Hill are currently under project development.
Exploring New Locations
Okamoto mentioned previously of an aspiration to explore a different venue of the series setting. According to him, future games might take place in new localities other than those in the United States, such as small towns in South America, Italy, South Korea, or Russia.
